Not just a lodge….an AMAZING experience!!!
How do you start a review of the perfect place? Pybus Point Lodge is amazing! From their staff to their facility and EVERYTHING in between they are top notch! Our experience with them was 5 stars from the moment we first booked with them until well after we left! To make sure that your experience is trouble-free and meets/exceeds all of your expectations, they have worked out all the bugs. Their prep kit that they send you when you first book spells out everything that you need to do to get there safely, have a great experience, and head home with memories of what heaven MUST be like (in the form of beautiful Alaska)!!! The facilities are beautiful and super clean/well maintained. The lodge is awesome with first rate food and service. The boat captains and their first mates are knowledgeable, professional, and exceptional at what they do!! And there isn’t a view from anywhere on the property that won’t take your breath away anytime of the day or night!! Our boat captain and his assistant (Casey and Carson) were awesome. They helped us fish like WE were pros. They put us wherever we needed to be to have fun catching whatever we wanted. They were patient with us and helped us get the most out of each of different types of fishing experiences. They also helped us see great views of whales, sea lions, sea otters, bears, deer, eagles, and tons of other cool stuff that only Alaska has to offer. Titus was one of their staff who guided us on an excursion to a warm hot spring and glacial lake. He was the perfect example of the kind of staff that Pybus Point Lodge hires. Professional, pleasant, helpful, patient, and very thoughtful. Their team goes out of their way in all aspects of your visit to make sure that your visit meets and exceeds your expectations. I could go on and on about everybody there and how they each helped to make our experience one that we will remember and cherish forever, but you should go and find out for yourself. You will NOT be disappointed!!

The Snickers Bacon Gang Strikes Again, the Truth about Pybus Point Lodge Exposed
You have to be so careful when writing these reviews if you write too quickly after your experience you could run the risk of exposing yourself emotionally. Well, I’m four days out. And just like the last two trips to Pybus Point Lodge, I want to go back. I want to go back to Planning my trip with Darryl and Anna the administrators and overseers of all. I want to talk to Brie , about my excursions for the day and end up fishing anyway. I want to put on my rain gear, the best rain gear, I want to be spoiled Pybus way . All year long. I can only tell you my experience. I was put into a cabin with two other couples. The cabins are five star we only share a kitchen and living room/game room. There is a commercial washer and dryer that are so quiet, you don’t even know they are on. The upstairs couple brought their two sons, we were below them and did not know they were there , except for our dinners together breakfast together and evenings at the fireplace. We were paired on boat.DAAK with Capt Jeff and First Mate Carson. We were blessed to have 4 of the most incredible. shipmates. Dubbed the Snicker Bacon Gang! The couples were from different parts of the country and all experienced in fishing! We shared so many moments! You will make forever friends and family. The boats are large enough for the occupants and feel very safe. The whales got very close, enough to see their skin patterns. The eagles and otters were performing. All the while we caught the daily , limit set by Alaska Fish and Wildlife 😉. Our captain Jeff was the best period just ask any of us and we will tell you. You do get to fix your lunch for the day so we were plenty satisfied with lots of Snickers and bacon from breakfast. LOL.(BadBob). There was always the option of a delicious hot soup that you could take in a thermos. Cold cuts and yes bacon. The food was five courses and had wonderful deserts. Most of my experience was spent fishing, but you could go on excursions whale watching or hiking or to the springs. Our video is on YouTube. Pybus highlights 2025. My husband and two of our shipmates took a smaller skiff out after dinner for extra halibut. I highly suggest that you stop your search now and really consider booking with Pybus Point Lodge. Lacey, girl, I wish you the best. Capt Ryan and wife congratulations on your first baby. Anna and Tyson congratulations. Sebastian Bach Jr., the twins, mikhal , photog Josh, I miss you all and will be back next year.

The full bore Alaskan fishing experience... and then some!
Pybus Point Lodge was the destination to finally fulfill my long-time desire to go fishing in Alaska. The reviews were good, the on-line pictures exciting, and the descriptions were tantalizing. Well, add this one to the list. From the beginning of the process, Pybus staff assisted in answering questions, providing tips and information, and building anticipation of the trip. We were flown in style by float planes (a first for me) directly from Juneau to the dock at Pybus. Met by the friendly and outgoing staff, we were directed up to the comfortable and spacious lodge, to enjoy a great breakfast, followed by a succinct orientation (thanks, Darryl) before grabbing our wet gear and hopping on boats for the first day of fishing. The boats are well kept and comfortable, and the captains and dock staff were professional and skilled. We caught our limits of available fish (certain species were off limits due to Fish and Game rules) and trolled for salmon till time to go in. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and well stocked. (Seems these folks don't want anyone to go hungry!) Dinner was a bit of a disappointment, not bad, just not properly prepared, but the convivial atmosphere outshined the food. After a well-earned good night's sleep, we rinsed and repeated. If you didn't want to fish all day every day, there were nature walks, trips to glaciers and waterfalls, etc., etc. Private skiffs and kayaks were available for after hours use, and many of us took advantage. Nature surrounded us: on most days we saw humpbacks (including bubble feeding - another first for me to see in person), also orcas, eagles, sea otters, and even mountain goats. Pybus left us with many great memories, of the great facilities, staff, and natural beauty that is Alaska. (We also left with a big box of fish, cleaned on the dock as we brought them in, vacuum packed, and flash frozen!!) If I ever get to go back to Alaska to fish, I won't have to look for another resort - I'll go to Pybus Point Lodge!

Fantastic experience!
Absolutely fantastic trip! Gorgeous surroundings, warm and friendly staff, comfortable accommodations, and highly skilled fishing guides. Incredible wildlife sightings, too. I would go again in a heartbeat!

Fish and Fun!!
What a marvelous experience. Wonderfully planned and prepared. Top notch crew so helpful and ready and able to assist. We had fun with all 18 of us and had great success in fishing and had great experiences on and off the water. You cannot go wrong!!

Unforgettable Alaskan Getaway
My son and I had the incredible opportunity to stay at Pybus Point Lodge, and it truly exceeded all expectations. every detail of the trip was thoughtfully handled. The food was outstanding! Our cabin was spotless and cozy, with a balcony overlooking the bay. What really stood out, though, was the staff’s kindness and attentiveness—especially to my son, who has autism. Without even knowing his diagnosis, everyone treated him with patience, warmth, and genuine care. Our captains, Casey and Brighton, were especially fantastic, helping him feel confident as he caught his first fish. The fishing was top-notch, the scenery breathtaking, and the entire experience unforgettable. We left with full hearts and memories we’ll always treasure. My son is already asking when we can go back. Thank you, Pybus Point Lodge. Jason
