An all-inclusive Alaskan fishing vacation at Pybus Point Lodge is the gift that keeps on giving. Not only do you get to bring home amazing memories of glaciers, grizzly bears, and reeling in wild halibut, but you’ll also bring home as much fresh fish as you can catch! Our world-class staff will professionally filet, rinse, vacuum seal, and freeze your fish all on our state-of-the-art fish house.
book nowUnlike some Alaskan fishing lodges, we don’t have any limits on how much fish we'll process and package for you. Any fish you catch will be cleaned, rinsed, frozen, and packaged on site at the lodge. Once it’s frozen we'll pack your fish in a sturdy, insulated box that will keep your fish cold for up to 36 hours–plenty of time to travel back home from our lodge. If you plan to explore Juneau and the surrounding areas after leaving Pybus Point Lodge, there's no need to worry about your fish. Many hotels in Juneau also have freezers that are available for you to use.
Most guests opt to take one or two boxes of frozen, cleaned, and sealed fish home because that works well with the airlines. We provide 24 hours of frozen fish storage for you at the airport at the conclusion of your trip. If you would rather not take your fish on the airplane with you, we'll help you arrange to have your fish shipped to your home.
Your all-inclusive package includes free transport of your fish to Juneau by float plane. After that it's up to you to determine the best way to get it home. Many of our guests choose to take their fish on the airplane as a “checked bag” and pay any applicable checked-bag fees for one or two boxes (guests who have preferred status with an airline that waives checked bag fees can even fly one or more containers home without any added costs). For that reason, we highly recommend that guests come with only a carry-on bag as your luggage, so you can use your checked bag option for fish on the flight home.
