Our skiffs are available for use by guests to go out and explore the local bay, look for wildlife, or even go out on a self-guided halibut fishing trip!
Book NowThe Lodge is located on the lower end of Admiralty Island overlooking Pybus Bay, which is part of the northern region of the famous Alaska Inside Passage. Shaped over millions of years by the powerful force of glaciers, you’ll be able to see local fjords with lush landscapes and amazing wildlife. The island and the nearby waters is the habitat for some of the most incredible species, including brown bears, bald eagles, sea lions, otters, humpback whales, and orca (killer whales) that are often visible from the boats.
Your stay at our all-inclusive lodge includes free use of our private jet skiffs. These skiffs are perfect for everything from bear watching to halibut fishing. In fact, it's not uncommon for our guests to bring a 100+ pound halibut to our docks after taking one a skiff out on a self-guided adventure.
Every skiff adventure is included as part of your stay with us at Pybus Point Lodge. This makes it easy to see all the marvelous wildlife and beautiful natural surroundings of the area in between your guided fishing trips. Just come on down to the docks and a member of our dock team will show you how to pilot the skiffs and provide you with all the necessary safety gear to ensure a fun-filled adventure whenever you want to go.
